The company ELBA, a.s. Kremnica was established in 1950. Since 1994 it is a joint stock company.
ELBA is an engineering company with its own design and production activities. We are a firm with a successful business in the area of producing and delivering mechanical joints for 400 volt to 400 kilovolt electrical lines. In 2002, our turnover was 360 million Sk (9 Mil. EUR), of whitch 70 % represented exports. Our exports are directed mainly to the Czech Republic, the Federal Republic of Germany, France, the Netherlands and England as well as other European countries.
When designing and constructing our products, we use 3D modeling in Inventor and Pro/ENGINEER 2001 software. Our firm has implemented a management information system integrating all our firm's processes. In manufacturing our products, we maintain an entire technology line including forged steel and aluminum, plasma cutting, metal film coating with plasmatic spray, aluminum part casting, molding, flexing, chipping on classical and CNC machines, thermal treatment of steel and aluminum as well as surface protection of steel components by flame galvanizing.
Special equipment needed for individual production technology is designed and produced in house. Mechanical, electrical or chemical tests of the fittings can be carried out in our testing laboratory.
Our firm has adopted and uses the ISO 9001 : 2000 quality control system
as well as the ISO 14001 environmental management system.
